COLT WWII 1911 GENERAL SHAVER “G”45ACP 7RD MAGAZINE RARE
This is an original World War contractor manufactured U.S.G.I. issued 1911A1 7-round magazine. Blued tube with spot welded base. Top lip of the base is marked “G”and tip of base indicating GENERAL SHAVER . This would be the correct magazine to have been issued with a Colt manufactured 1911-A1 pistol during WWII. This magazine would not have been originally issued with colt US&S manufactured gun, but of course it could have ended up in one and would be period correct. Magazine shows signs of wear and use. Please see photos for a better description. WWII 1911A1 contractors: “C-L” and “L” = M.S. Little Mfg. Co. “C-R” and “R” = Risdon Mfg. Co. “C-S” and “S” = Scovill Mfg. Co. “G” = General Shaver Division of Remington Rand
